5th Annual 12K, 5K and Kids Fun Run - October 16, 2010 - New Carolina Baseball Stadium, Columbia, SC
  • Q. Directions.  A. From Columbia take Blossom Street and turn left
    one block after Huger on Williams Street.  From West Columbia cross
    over the Blossom Street bridge going toward USC and take your first
    right on Williams Street.
  • Q. I will miss this year"s Home Run but how do I still like to make a donation
  • A. First of all thank you for your contribution.  Simply email
    Ken@RayTannerHomeRun.org, make your check out to the 2010 Ray Tanner
    Home Run and mail to: The Ray Tanner Foundation Home Run, 306 Sims
    Avenue, Columbia, SC 29205.

  • Q. Can I exit the parking area after the race starts?
  • A.  Entrance and exit to parking lot will need to be closed for the 12K and 5K
    Start from 7:55 A until 8:30 A.

  • Q. Are baby strollers and pets permitted?
  • A. Yes on the 5K course. However please be safe on the roads as they will
    be coned off but not closed to traffic in many areas. After enjoying your run or
    walk with your 4 legged companion please return them to your car for a well
    deserved rest prior to entering the baseball stadium to protect the new field -
    then complete you trip to your own home plate celebration. Be sure to take an
    extra ballpark hot-dog from the post race refreshments to reward your pet.
  • Parking  A. There is ample parking within steps of the Stadium. Athletes
    park in grass field on the corner of Blossom and Williams St. Volunteer"s
    reserved parking is at Catawba and Wheat. Don't be late! Entrance to
    parking lots must be closed between 7:55A and 8:30A for Start.


  • Q. What are the awards?
  • A. Cool new award medals for 12K & 5K award categories; Top 3 men
    and women, top male and female master (40+), top 3 male and female
    14 and under, 15-19,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-
    59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.  Cash awards will be presented to top
    12K finishers in the RRCA State Championship. First overall male and
    female $100, Master $50, Grand Masters $25, Senior Masters $25.
    The Home Run will be the first race in SC to award finishers a Palmetto
    Grand Prix patch to 5K and 12K finishers to celebrate their trip across
    home plate in the new Carolina Baseball Stadium.
